Pushpark Development director charged with obtaining Sh 15M in a fake housing project

One of the directors of Pushpark Development Limited has been charged with obtaining Sh 15 million by false pretences in a housing project investment.

Joshi Kalpesh Mancha Shankar is accused of obtaining the money from Stephen Ngei and Makindu Motors by falsely pretending that he was in a position to invest the said amount in development of a housing project namely White Oak Apartments from which, upon completion, they were to earn a profit of Sh 8 million, a fact he knew to be false.

Shankar is alleged to have committed the offence between 2nd and 4th October 2012 in Nairobi, jointly with others not before court.

The accused is also accused of conspiring with others not before court to defraud Ngei and Makindu Motors.

Shankar denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo. 

He was released on a cash bail of Sh 50,000
