Senaca East Africa employee charged with voting twice

A Senaca East Africa employee has been charged with the the offense of voting more than once in any election contrary to the constitution.
The 26 year old Protus Ligare Simiyu who is employed as a security guard at Secana is accused of trying to vote more than once in the General elections conducted yesterday.
The father of two who hails from Bungoma County, was charged that on August 8th at Langata road primary school polling station in Nairobi County, having registered as an IEBC voter at that polling station unlawfully attempted to vote twice.
The accused who appeared before Milimani courts chief magistrate Francis Andayi denied having committed the offense.
He was released on a bond of Sh 100,000 or alternative cash bail of Sh 50,000
The case will be heard on August 24 this year.
