Car dealers charged with stealing Toyota Prado

Two businessmen accused have been charged with stealing a Toyota Prado worth Sh 3.5 million.

Newton Kimathi Kirimi and Peterson Njau Waweru are accused of stealing a  Toyota Prado which had been entrusted to them by Anne Kanyoro to sell and remit proceeds.

The two are alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 16th  October 2021 and January 2022.

The two also face an alternative count of conspiring to steal the said car, jointly with others not before court.

The accused persons denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and denied the charges.

They were released on a cash bail of Sh 150,000.
