A teacher accused of publishing the fake death of the Teachers Service Commission CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia on Facebook has been charged.
Jeremiah Samuel Mwawuganga is charged with cyber harassment calculated to cause fear and panic to Dr. Macharia.
The teacher is alleged to have published….. “Breaking news NANCY MACHARIA IS DEAD, her body has been found in Oyuus bed. It is alleged that Oyuu madad her after she failed to kiss his ass. RIP Macharia…..” ooh it was just a dream. May it be so…”
Mwawuganga is said to have published the false information on diverse dates between 16th and 20th January 2022 at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court.
The accused denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and was granted a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
