Three Chinese firm directors charged with robbery with violence

The Directors of Priory Properties Company Limited have been charged with robbery with violence charges in a Nairobi court.
Wang Liyong, Ye Dalu and Peng Hongwen are accused of robbing one Samuel Mbugua Njoroge, a motor vehicle registration number KBW 349 W make Mitsubishi Pajero. The Pajero is allgedly valed at Sh 2.1 million and is the property of WH HARMONY INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT COMPANY LTD.

At the time of the said robbery, the accused persons threatened to use actual violence to the said Samuel Mbugua Njoroge.

The businessmen are alleged to have committed the offence on 10th January 2019 at Golf Villas Estate along Muchai Drive within Nairobi jointly with others not before court.
The directors are also accused of robbing Njoroge shillings 5 million, the property of Yu fang and used actual violence against him.

The pleaded not guilty before Pri cipal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot.

They were however not granted bail since the police requested for more time to detain them to investigate whether they are legally in Kenya or not.

The court heard their passports were handed over to the Immigration department for verification.

Further the court was told that Liyong is facing another criminal case and is out on a cash bail of Sh 2 million.

The court directed that they be remanded till tomorrow 11 am when the bail ruling will be delivered.
