The 24year old alleged to have had sex relationships with 13 MPs, Waziri Chacha alias Benson Chacha Masubo Alias Sabina Wanjiru Chege has been charged in court.
Chacha was charged with six counts of offenses before Milimani Law courts Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
On the first count, The accused was charged with conspiracy to defraud public officers and the general public by registering a Safaricom mobile number in the name of Sabina Wanjiru Chege, Murang’a county women representative.
He is alleged to have committed the offence on 3rd March 2018 at Update beauty shop in Donholm, Nairobi jointly with others not before court.
Chacha was secondly charged with obtaining registration by false pretence by willfully procuring the registration of the mobile number in the name of Sabina Chege purporting to be her.
He further faced another count if intent to defraud where he is accused of knowingly and fraudulently obtaining the registration of a Safaricom number in the name of Chege with intent to defraud public officers and the public.
The accused was also charged with obtaining money under false pretences. He is alleged to have obtained sh 20, 000 from former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo purporting that he was Sabina Chege.
In addition he was charged with attempting to obtain money under false pretenses on 8th March 2018 at Golden spot restaurant in Nairobi.
Chacha, jointly with others, is said to have attempted to obtain sh100, 000 from Jakoyo Midiwo purporting to be Sabina.
Lastly, Waziri Chacha was charged with impersonating a public officer between 3rd and 8th March 2018 by falsely presenting himself to be a Member of Parliament, Honorable Sabina Chege to Jakoyo Midiwo
The prosecution objected his release on bail on grounds that the accused as a flight risk as he has no fixed aboard in Kenya.
The court heard that Chacha was arrested at Tarime in Tanzania while trying to flee to Congo after learning that he was being sought by police.
The matter will be mentioned tomorrow.
