Cameroonian charged in Nairobi with possession of $200,000 fake currency

A Cameroonian national has been charged with being in possession of counterfeit currency contrary to section 367 (a) of the penal code before a Nairobi court.

Andre Thierry Mvondo Itaba was charged with being in possession of two bundles of counterfeit US dollars currency notes equivalent to Sh 20 Million.

Itaba is said to have committed the offence on 25th July 2018 at Yaya Center in Hurlingham, Nairobi.

The Cameroonian denied the charges before chief Magistrate Francis Andayi who granted him a bond of Sh 3 million or a cash bail of Sh 2 million.

The case will be heard of 22nd August 2018.
