Chinese contractor charged over Sh 5.8 million apartment in Kileleshwa

A Chinese businessman has been charged alongside his company with Sh 5.8 million fraud after failing to deliver an apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

Sheng Xing and Tenlong Construction Limited is accused of obtaining the money from Wallmatt Group Limited by falsely pretending that you were in a position to sell a one bedroom apartment house in Kileleshwa, a fact he knew to be false.

Xing is alleged to have committed the offense between 1st September 2020 and 2nd May 2023, at Kileleshwa within Nairobi City County, jointly with others not before court.

In addition, the accused is charged with four counts of issuing bad cheques amounting to Sh 3.6 million in favour of Wallmatt Group knowing his company’s account had insufficient funds.

He is alleged to have committed these offenses on 2nd May 2023 at Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

 Xing denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi. He was released on a cash bail of Sh 500,000.
