The Director of Crayfish Camp Hotel, Naivasha has been charged with endangering the life of a minor.

John Ngure Mehta was charged with endangering the life of a minor aged 7 years who was camping at the said hotel with some of his schoolmates.

The court heard that Mehta omitted to take precautions against probable dangers from a German Shepherd dog in his possession which attacked and injured the son of state counsel Joseph Riungu.

He denied the charges before Naivasha law courts Principal Magistrate Eunice Kimilu.

The director was released on a cash bail of 50,000 pending determination of the case.

Riungu had accused the Hotel management of refusing to take responsibility for what happened despite claiming the dogs were friendly.

The counsel stated earlier that his son was walking back to the rooms with his friends to pick up his clothes at around 6 pm when the incident occurred.
