A man accused of tossing his girlfriend from the 12th floor of a building has been found guilty by a Nairobi court.

Moses Gatama Njoroge, an ICT expert is alleged to have pushed the victim from the 12th floor and luckily landed on 9th floor of Ambank house in Nairobi in 2020.

Trial magistrate Esther Kimilu ruled that the prosecution had adduced sufficient evidence against Njoroge.

She will sentence him on 1st December 2022.

Njoroge had met the victim, Eunice Wangari on Facebook after which they agreed to meet physically on the fateful day.

The two allegedly spent the day together, had lunch, bought some alcoholic drinks and headed back to Njoroge’s office at Ambank building to enjoy themselves.

A disagreement ensued when Wangari told the accused that she wanted to go back to her home in Karura, Kiambu county since it was 7.30 PM.

She allegedly turned down Njoroge’s sexual advances and this escalated the matter.

It was during the argument that the accused pushed her off the window causing her to sustain serious injuries.

The court heard that being a weekend, there was no one else in the building at the time. A security officer was the one who came to her rescue and she was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
