A Central Bank of Kenya official has been charged with stealing Sh1 million from his employer.

Wilfred Agingu Odinga is said to have stashed the bank-notes in his jacket from an underground vault at the CBK.

Odinga is alleged to have committed the offense on 12th September 2017 jointly with others not before court.

The case will be heard on October 6 2017.

The accused is also a businessman and is alleged to own a fleet of cross border public transport vehicles.

Another CBK official is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday to face similar charges.
