Man charged with obtaining millions for false gold

A 54 year old man has been charged with obtaining millions of shillings from an unsuspecting victim by false pretenses.

Michael Kyalo Kiilu alias Peter Kival was charged with obtaining Sh 25 million from Hamad Yacoub Hamad by falsely pretending that he was in a position to supply him with 14 Kilograms of gold, a fact he knew to be false.

Kiilu is alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 19th February and 1st March 2018 at Muthangari along Mzima Spring road in Nairobi jointly with others not before court.

He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi who granted him a bond of Sh 4 million. The case will be mentioned on 7th and will be heard on 16th May 2018.
