Tourism Finance Corporation senior official charged with sexual harassment

The Tourism Finance Corporation Head of Investment has been charged with sexual harassment.

Dominic Ndewa Maluki is accused of persistently making sexual advances to Norah Ratemo, an employee at the said corporation by sending her suggestive text messages knowing or having reason to believe that such advances were not welcomed by her thereby creating an offensive working environment.

Maluki is alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 2012 and May 2020 within the republic of kenya and being a person in a position of authority. 

The accused is also charged with committing an indecent act by intentionally touching the buttocks of Ratemo with his hands against her will.

He is alleged to have committed the offence on 29th May 2020 at Utalii house within Nairobi CBD.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot and was released on a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
