Businesswoman charged with conspiring to defraud Sh 300 million land in Nairobi

A businesswoman has been charged with conspiracy to defraud a family land valued at Sh 300 million.

Fresky Jepchirchir Bett is accused of intending to defraud Faith Naitore Kirimi , Martin Mwirigi Kirimi, Lydia Gatwiri Kirimi, Phineas Mwongera Kirimi , Nicholas Kimathi Kirimi , Mercy Makena Kirimi , Joseph Kipsigei Bii , Jacob Muthaura Mathiu and Jane Kendi Ikunyua of their parcel land measuring approximately 1.37 arcres situated along Riara road in Nairobi.

Th accused allegedly committed the offence by making a false lease documents for a 99 year term.

Jepchirchir is alleged to have committed the offence on 30th August 2016 and 29th November 2017 jointly with others not before court.

She was also charged with making the fake lease documents purporting it to be genuine, issued by the ministry of lands and physical planning.

She denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku and was released on a cash bail of Sh 1 million .
