Women charged with conspiracy to defraud Homeland Development Investors Limited land worth Sh 90M

Two women has been charged with conspiring to defraud Homeland Development Investors Limited a parcel of land valued at 90 million.

Jenifer Muthoni Morigi and Winnie Wanjiru Njeri who made sure the cameras never got a glimpse of their faces, are accused to have conspired to defraud the parcel of land LR.NO.20523 situated in Mavoko municipality purporting to be the real owners on 28th September 2010.

The accused persons were also charged with forging and making a sale agreement for Sh 135 Million of the said Land purporting it to be genuine and prepared by Gertrude Matata and Co. Advocate with intent to defraud homeland.

Lastly Murigi and Njeri were charged with uttering a forged sale agreement to the deputy registrar of the High Court of Machakos purporting it to be genuine.

The two denied the charges before senior resident magistrate Hellen Onkwani who granted them a bond of 5M or alternative cash bail of sh2M.
