An agent of Luxury Shuttle and Travels Limited has been charged in a Nairobi court with stealing.
Hildah Kathure Kinyua is accused of stealing two sacks of parcels containing assorted ladies handbags, shoes and vitenges all valued at Sh 253,300.
The goods belonged to Venasia Gicuku Njeru which she had entrusted to Kathure to deliver for her at Chogoria market within Tharaka Nithi County.
The accused is alleged to have committed the offence between 26th and 27th November 2018 at the shuttle’s booking office at Tea Room in Nairobi jointly with others not before court.
She denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot.
Through Lawyer Dunstan Omari the agent requested the court to grant her favourable cash bail. She was previously out on a police bail of Sh 20,000.
The prosecution requested the court to have the matter mentioned on 23rd January 2018 in order for them to make an application for consolidation with another of a similar nature that is already before court.
Kathure was released on a bond of Sh 80,000 or a cash bail of Sh 50,000.
