CBK security guard charged with stealing 1M from underground vault.

A Central Bank of Kenya security guard has been charged with stealing Sh1 million from his employer.

Stanley Musonye is said to have stashed the bank-notes in his jacket from an underground vault at the CBK.

Musonye is alleged to have committed the offense on 12th September 2017 jointly with others, not before the court.

The case will be mentioned on 6th October 2017 where the prosecution will make an application for consolidating the matter with a similar one already before the court.

The accused pleaded not guilty before Nairobi Milimani law courts Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and was released on a cash bail of Sh. 400, 000.

Musonye had been presented before the court under a miscellaneous application where he was detained for one day to allow police complete investigations before charging him.
